AVE MARIA by J.S. Bach & C. Gounod

Ave Maria" is a popular and much-recorded setting of the Latin prayer Ave Maria. The piece consists of a melody by the French Romantic composer Charles Gounod that he superimposed over an only very slightly changed version of Bach's Prelude No. 1 in C major from Book I of The Well-Tempered Clavier, 1722. This arrangement is by the eminent spanish guitarist Francisco Tarrega

Rondo in C Major Op.22 by Fernando Sor'

Fernando Sor (baptised 14 February 1778 – 10 July 1839) was a Spanish classical guitarist and composer of the late Classical era and is best known for writing solo classical guitar music. The Rondo is taken from his Sonata in C major Op22.

Prelude in A minor by Francisco Tarrega

A fine but tricky little piece by maestro Tarrega dedicated to his friend and disciple Miguel Llobet. This short Prelude is quite sophisticated with its profusuion of chromatic harmony and shows Tarrega was a master of his craft. Guitar is a 1976 Ramirez Concert 1a 664mm scale length.

Andantino Op,32 No.1 in E major by Fernando Sor. This beautiful little study by Sor is a fine piece to add to your repertoire. I saw the great Andres Segovia play this as a encore piece many years ago.
